Net loss expanded to $2,743,000 in Q2 from a loss of $1,002,000 last year, as revenues slipped 2% to $208,964,000 from $214,275,000 and comps were down 2.1% on lower traffic and continued softness in footwear. Gross margin contracted 20 basis points to 35.3%, including 60 b.p. of occupancy deleverage partially offset by tariff refunds. SG&A was 1% lower in dollars on higher store wage costs offset by lower incentive compensation, but increased 50 b.p. to 36.0% of sales. Inventory was flat year over year at $157.3 million.
