Yonex Grows Sales and Profits Double Digits


The Japanese racquet sports and golf company posted a 15% improvement in net income to ¥31,067 million ($17.9 mm) from ¥2,424 million in the fiscal first quarter ended June 30, as sales grew by 11% to ¥31,067 million ($199.3 mm) from ¥27,992 million. Revenues in North America contracted 6% to ¥1,627 million ($10.4 mm) on solid sales of badminton and tennis, but lapping a difficult comparison against last year.
