VF Corp. Touts Brand Plans after Dickies Windfall
The Vans and North Face parent jumped at a favorable offer for Dickies from Bluestar Alliance, CEO Bracken Darrell and CFO Paul Vogel revealed at the Wells Fargo Consumer Conference, with proceeds going to pay down debt and free up spending on marketing initiatives for its core brands. While the sale was not planned as part of ongoing portfolio evaluations, having relocated the brand’s headquarters this year and included it in the recent segment reshuffling, it did rank last in investment priority amongst VF’s major brands.
