U.S. Sales Power JD Sports’ First Half
The U.K.-based parent of Finish Line, DTLR Villa, Shoe Palace and—most recently—Hibbett Sports, said North American comps improved 5.7% in the second quarter ended July 31, its strongest geography. The results accelerated from Q1, resulting in first half comps up 3.3%, and total organic revenues that grew 13.7% in Q2 and 10.7% for the half. Those results exclude the Hibbett deal, which closed just before the end of the quarter on July 25.
