The majority of the Trump Administration’s tariff agenda received a setback Friday when a federal appeals court upheld the U.S. Court of International Trade’s May ruling on V.O.S. Selections v. Trump, giving the administration until Oct. 14 to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court before the prohibition takes effect. The 7-4 ruling held that “both the trafficking tariffs and the reciprocal tariffs are unbounded in scope, amount, and duration,” metrics which place them under the purview of Congress and not under the executive branch through the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, ...
