Survey Finds Holiday Shoppers Spent More than Planned


Average Holiday 2025 spend hit $1,081 across 246 million shoppers, or about 92% of U.S. adults, according to surveying from ICSC. The retail and real estate firm’s Jan. 5-7 survey found that spending exceeded Holiday ‘24 for 47% of respondents, exceeding the 1/3 of respondents who expected to be up year-over-year in ICSC’s start-of-season survey.
