Sturm, Ruger Profits Tumble on Lower Q2 Sales


Net income was nearly halved to $8,264,000 in the second quarter from $16,185,000 a year ago, as revenues slipped 8% to $130,761,000 from $142,804,000 as units shipped were roughly flat, but ASP declined to $386 from $422. Consumer demand dropped in Q2, according to NSSF-adjusted NICS checks data, but RGR said its sell-through from independent distributors to retailers increased 1% year-over-year.
