Stella’s Net Rises as Sneakers Drive Sales Growth


The bottom line increased 66% in the fiscal first half to $91,514,000 from $55,227,000 on 8% higher revenues of $770,011,000 from $716,086,000, driven by its customers requesting earlier shipments than planned as they sought to take advantage of the Summer Olympics in Paris. The North American market saw revenues improve 15% to $360.2 million helped by a strong U.S. dollar, while Europe inched down 3% to $189.5 million, and Asia (outside of China) was up 5% to $69.5 million.
