Sporting Goods Sales Extend Gains in Dec.
The Commerce Dept. said sporting goods/hobby/book and music store adjusted sales improved 6.0% in Dec. to $8,379 million from $7,901 million and were up 0.4% sequentially, as it catches up from the government shutdown.
