Capping a year of modest growth, industry imports jumped 15% in the final quarter, led by sneakers and apparel, as brands and retailers rushed to get product landed ahead of trade disruptions and tariffs from a second Trump term. Imports totaled $5,735.7 million in Q4, up from $4,968.1 million prior. Athletic footwear imports soared 35% to $1,634.8 million from $1,209.7 million, sports apparel increased 16% to $825.0 million from $711.6 million, and equipment imports grew 8% to $3,275.8 million from $3,046.7 million, with most hardgoods categories expanding.
