Sporting Goods Categories Score Tariff Exemptions


Lobbying efforts by companies and trade organizations have resulted in the removal of many product categories from the scope of onerous 50% levies on steel and aluminum products, according to an Apr. 2 proclamation from the White House. The changes to products covered by nearly 1000 HTS codes were detailed in the latest Section 232 Tariff Annex spreadsheet and went into effect on Apr. 6.
