Skechers Tops $2 Billion in Q1 Revenues


Net income increased 32% in the first quarter to $160,443,000 from $121,223,000 on net sales that were up 10% (+13% CC) to $2,001,928,000 from $1,819,594,000, hitting the $2 billion mark for the first time in a quarter. Total wholesale sales gained 4% to $1,294.6 million as ASP increased 5%, offsetting a 2% volume decline, with a 320 basis point improvement in gross margin to 39.6% for the channel. DTC improved 25% to $707.3 million, with double-digit gains in nearly every market and 100 b.p. of gross margin expansion to 66.0%
