Skechers Pulls Guidance on Trade Uncertainty


Skechers is always among the first industry brands to report quarterly results, and its decision to skip guidance and withdraw forward expectations issued earlier in reaction to the Trump Administration’s trade chaos will surely be repeated by its competitors. SKX management didn’t mince words, comparing the current economic uncertainty to the beginning of the Covid pandemic. Regardless of where tariff levels end up, the company will stick to its three-pronged approach of cost-sharing with vendors, sourcing optimization, and raising prices where necessary.
