The bike component and fishing equipment maker’s bottom line fell ¥2,361 million ($15.8 mm) into the red in Q3, against a profit of ¥9,791 million last year, but sales inflected positive for the first time in seven quarters, growing 5% to ¥117,992 million ($791.2 mm) from ¥112,014 million. Bicycle segment revenues grew 8% to ¥91,266 million, though Fishing segment sales slipped 3% to ¥26,621 million. Gross margin expanded by 90 basis points to 39.4%, while SG&A increased 8%, deleveraging 50 b.p. as a percent of sales.
