Activity trends remain solid, according to the SFIA’s 2025 Topline Participation Report, as over 80% of tracked team sports posted across-the-board gains, several key pandemic-era winners continued to see green arrows and class-based activities turned in their best year since before lockdowns. Overall participation hit 247.1 million, or 80.0% of the age 6-plus population for 2024, up 2% over 242.0 million in 2023 (78.8%). The ‘24 figure represents an 8% increase over 229.7 million (75.6%) in ‘20 and 11% growth over 221.7 million (73.2%) in ‘19.
