REI Members Approve Board, but Union Troubles Continue
The outdoor co-op’s membership approved all three candidates for its board of directors at the 2026 annual member meeting held today, a vote of confidence for CEO Mary Beth Laughton at the end of her first year on the job. The newly elected directors are Rose Marcario, partner at ReGen Ventures and former Patagonia CEO, and Charles “Chuck” Sams, former director of the National Park Service.
