REI Directors Ousted, Posts Nine-Figure 2024 Loss
After a year that saw significant changes in the co-op’s senior management, including the appointment of new CEO Mary Beth Laughton, members made what amounted to a no-confidence vote by failing to approve one new and two incumbent board members at the 2025 annual meeting. While vote counts and percentages were not revealed, the outdoor co-op said that members voted to reject current directors Michael McAfee, CEO of PolicyLink, and Elizabeth Huber, a former Getty Images exec, as well as nominee Monica Schwartz, an EVP at BJ’s Wholesale Club.
