NRF Survey Forecasts 1% Drop in Holiday Sales
After yesterday’s gloomy forecast from Deloitte, the picture for Holiday 2025 is a little rosier at the National Retail Federation, as their seasonal survey, conducted by Prosper Insights & Analytics, found an average retail spend of $890.49 on the horizon, down only 1% from last year’s record of $901.99. Total spending in ‘24 grew 3% over 2023’s $875, which bounced back from the ‘22 slump of $833 after $879 in ‘21.
