Nike and Jordan Tumble in New Athletic Footwear Survey
Rising heat for New Balance and Adidas sent Nike to its lowest-ever share of most-popular style references in the latest edition of Stifel’s Back-to-School Athletic Footwear Survey of leading retailers. New Balance took the top spot with 15.5% of the panel, up 7.8 percentage points from the prior year, while Adidas hit 13.6%, up 13.1 points, though still far below its prior heights of 30% in 2017.
