Newell Outdoor’s Sales Crater, Loss Expands


Revenues at NWL’s Outdoor & Recreation segment tumbled 26% in the first quarter to $201 million from $270 million, with core sales down 20% excluding ForEx and other impacts. Operating loss worsened to $18 million from a loss of $1 million a year ago. Excluding restructuring charges and other one-time items, normalized operating loss was $10 million against income of $13 million in Q1 ’23.
