Newell Brands Downgraded by S&P Global
The parent of Coleman, Contigo, Marmot and other outdoor brands’ issuer credit rating and rating on its unsecured notes were slashed to BB from BB+ by S&P. The ratings agency also gave NWL a negative outlook due to its poor operating performance for the first half of the year, increases in costs of goods sold, and restructuring charges.
