Mexico’s Suit against Gun Makers Can Move Forward
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit has reversed and remanded the Mexican government’s lawsuit against seven firearm manufacturers and one distributor back to MA District Court, which had previously dismissed the plaintiff’s claims back in the fall of 2022. The Appeals Court’s decision upheld much of the district court’s reasoning that the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act barred most of the suit’s claims.
