Rising expenses sent net income 2% lower in the first quarter to $314,572,000 from $321,421,000 despite 7% revenue growth to $2,370,660,000 from $2,208,891,000 that was balanced across segments, with women’s up 7%, men’s gaining 8% and accessories also increasing 8%. Brick-and-mortar sales improved 8%, outpacing a 6% increase in e-commerce.
