Kontoor Brands Aims to Turbocharge Helly-Hansen
While crediting Canadian Tire for its stewardship of the 148-year-old sailing and outdoor apparel company, Kontoor Brands’ chief Scott Baxter sees rapid expansion and better profitability for Helly under the jeanswear maker’s umbrella. The acquisition has passed all regulatory hurdles and is expected to close later this month. Baxter said Helly-Hansen should be able to contribute about $425 million in revenue this year, up double-digits from 2024 in H2, and add $0.20 to EPS, including $0.48 in the second half after a Q2 loss.
