KMD Brands Results Show Gradual Improvement


Rip Curl, Kathmandu and Oboz all posted sequential gains in the final fiscal quarter ended July 31, narrowing sales declines to single digits across KMD Brands’ portfolio, where overall sales dipped 5.0%. Pre-announcing full-year results, KMD expects underlying EBITDA will come in between NZ$49 and NZ$51 million ($30 mm) for FY24. Gross margin for the year contracted by 30 basis points to 58.8%, as promotions ramped up in the final quarter.
