Johnson Outdoors Boosted by Fishing


Net income grew more than fourfold in the fiscal second quarter ended Apr. 3 to $9,409,000 from $2,304,000 on a 16% gain in revenues to $194,480,000 from $168,349,000. Fishing sales improved 18% to $159.0 million on better trade conditions and pricing, with operating income coming in at $18.7 million, lapping a profit of $9.5 million.
