North America accounted for 38% of JD Sports’ sales last year, growing 13% to £4,779 million ($6,288 mm) from £4,242 million, with 3% constant-currency organic growth excluding acquisitions and disposals, while same-store sales declined 1.8%. The remaining Finish Line stores that have not yet been re-bannered to JD Sports were a drag on comps, which would have been +1.2% without the legacy chain. North American operating margin dipped by 250 basis points to 7.4% from 9.9%, with operating profit tallying £353 million against £418 million.
