Touting solid growth from all its banners here, JD Sports’ total North American revenue climbed 17% in the first half ended July 29 to £1,520.4 million ($1902.9 mm) from £1,300.4 million, slowing somewhat in the second quarter but still handily outperforming its competitors. First quarter results benefitted from better in-stock position across footwear categories against last year’s shortages. Sales slowed briefly in June, then July perked up, boosted by improving traffic for Back-to-School, and that momentum continued past the end of the period.
