Japanese Apparel Companies See Momentum Continue in Q2


Descente’s bottom line soared 41% in the fiscal second quarter ended Sep. 30 to ¥3,499 million ($23.5 mm), from ¥2,481 million, on revenues that grew by 8% to ¥35,336 million ($236.9mm) from ¥32,823 million. Sales improved in most regions, with the home Japan market up 8% to ¥13,968 million, South Korea ticking up 11% to ¥17,195 million, but China was down 7% to ¥3,632 million.
