Holiday Traffic Builds, but Consumers Still Feel Inflation
Super Saturday is poised to hit new traffic records, the National Retail Federation found, but residual inflationary pressures continue to impact consumer behavior, according to new research from NORC at the University of Chicago. The NRF’s latest survey with Prosper Insights & Analytics found 158.8 million consumers plan to shop on Super Saturday, Dec. 20, ticking up 1% from 2024’s 157.2 million and topping the prior record of 158.5 million in ‘22.
