The small market operator recorded 20% lower net income of $30,884,000 in the fourth quarter, down from $38,424,000, as revenues inched up 2% to $466,589,000 from $458,295,000 while comps slipped 6.4%, lapping last year’s mid-teens surge. Store comps slid 9.2%, but e-commerce grew by 6.9%, and represented 18.9% of total sales. The extra week this year added about $22.9 million in sales and $2.6 to $2.8 million in net income, HIBB said. Holiday played out mostly as expected, boosted by key sneaker launches and the Hibbett Rewards x Nike Membership partnership.
