GoPro Prioritizes Unit Sales with Lower Prices
GoPro shed more light on its new channel and pricing strategies unveiled on the Q1 earnings call during a talk at the J.P. Morgan investor conference. A return to lower price points and more retail doors, leading to short term margin dilution before a bounceback on higher subscriber count and flow through of higher material costs. Total sell-through is expected at 3.2 million cameras for ’23 over 2.0 million in the prior year, ramping up 3.6 million in ’24 and 4.0 million in ’25, with more sales of entry level models.
