Gildan Upbeat on Tariff Strategy, Maintains Guidance


Net income increased 8% to $84.7 million over $78.7 million on sales that were up 2% to $711.7 million from $695.8 million for the first quarter. Excluding the Under Armour hosiery phase-out, the top line improved by mid-single digits. By region, U.S. sales ticked up 2% to $632.6 million while Canada increased 10% to $27.9 million. International results dipped 3% to $51.2 million as strong European growth was offset by softness in Latin America, lapping tough comps, and Asia, on the negative macro backdrop.
