Foot Locker Touts Brand Mix, Real Estate Plans
Consumer demand for choice, data metrics and a growing off-mall store fleet are top of mind at Foot Locker as they look ahead to a less Nike-dominated world. Big Foot added color to the strategies outlined in their Q4 and Q1 earnings calls at the Evercore investor conference, harkening back to diversification plans first laid out at their Mar. ’19 Investor Day. Still in the early innings of Nike’s DTC plans at that time, the push was coming from consumer data showing demand shifts out of line with the company’s under-penetration in every brand but Nike.
