Fitness Equipment Sales Declined Last Year, SFIA Finds
Total fitness equipment sales dipped 4% in 2022 as they lapped the prior year’s +14% surge, according to the 2023 edition of SFIA’s Tracking the Fitness Movement Report, coming in at $7.59 billion down from $7.89 billion. Home use sales were 5% lower at $6.08 billion (against a 15% gain), while commercial went +4% to $1.52 billion (+12% in ’21) with no categories showing a loss as the channel continues its steady recovery from lockdown depths.
