Despite firearms imports trending downward through 2024, handguns were flat in Dec. at 315,193 units, according to ITC data compiled by the NSSF, as pistol imports improved 3% to 285,346 units, while revolvers fell off 21% to 29,847 units. For the year, handgun imports dropped 12% to 3,294,128 units. Rifle imports declined 15% to 69,249 units, finishing the year down 9% to 1,028,739, while shotguns increased 18% to 92,424, totaling 1,121,716, up 14%.
