Firearms Import Surge Continued in July
Handgun imports for the month increased 31% to 381,614 units, driven by a 35% gain in pistols that more than offset a 5% decline in revolvers, according to ITC data compiled by the NSSF. Long gun imports were also higher, including a 67% jump in rifle imports to 66,047 units and a 126% increase in shotguns, to 173,166.
