Firearm Export Rules to Be Relaxed


The Trump Administration posted for public inspection the final version of its revised export control regulations for guns and ammunition, which shift export licensing for commercial and sporting products to the Commerce Department from the State Department. State will continue to oversee guns and ammo exports intended for military end use. The National Shooting Sports Foundation had lobbied for the changes that were introduced eight years ago under the Obama Administration with the intent to lower costs and regulatory hurdles for U.S. manufacturers.
