DSW Q2 Sales Slip despite Nike Driven Sneaker Resurgence
DSW parent Designer Brands’ net income declined 17% to $55,576,000 from $66,997,000 on sales that were off 3% to $771,900,000 from $792,217,000 in the second quarter as gains in athletic and athleisure offset lower dress and seasonal results. Athleisure sales were up 8%, picking up share as Circana reported the category was up 4% industrywide.
