Net income ticked up 1% to $299,969,000 from $296,433,000 in the final quarter on slightly higher revenues of $3,893,649,000 against $3,876,171,000, which was nevertheless a new quarterly sales record. Comps increased a stellar 6.4%, not including the missing extra week compared to Q4 last year, representing about a $170 million headwind to total sales. DKS doesn’t provide much in the way of merchandising color, but noted that footwear continued to gain share as a percent of total revenue. Average ticket grew by 4.4% and transactions by 2.0% on a comparable basis.
