Net loss expanded 29% to $38,168,000 from $29,698,000 for the fourth quarter on 5% lower revenues of $713,572,000 up from $754,348,000, hit by missing sales compared to the 53rd week in the prior year. Total comps were up 0.5%. U.S. retail sales at DSW declined 7% to $587.5 million, comping up 0.7% on positive results in the majority of footwear categories, driven by kids’, athletic accessories (led by socks), and women’s dresses. The comp result marked the first green arrow since Q3 2022. Segment gross margin improved 130 b.p. to 40.6%.
