Net income was up 30% to $13,214,000 over $10,205,000, but revenues slipped 1% to $777,194,000 from $786,329,000 for the third quarter, with consolidated comps down 3.1% on unseasonable weather and macro pressures offsetting continued athletic strength. Backing out a 27% drop in boots, DSW sales would have been up 8%. Sales of the banner's top eight brands grew 27% for the quarter, with athleisure accounting for seven of the eight. Nike's performance maintains its strength as it laps last year's return to DSW.
