Liquidation sales at Salt Life stores are underway as winning bidder Iconix International, in partnership with Hilco Consumer-Retail Group, closed on its $38.7 million purchase of the lifestyle brand. The pair’s bid secured the brand in Delta Apparel’s bankruptcy proceedings on Aug. 27, but Hilco already had a go-ahead from the court to begin liquidation of product inventory, fixtures, and equipment across the 28-store footprint.
