Deloitte Survey Sees More Spending on Experiences
Deloitte’s annual Holiday survey found that total average consumer spending for the season will jump 8% to $1,778 from $1,652 last year, which was a 14% increase over $1,455 in ‘22 and significantly higher than $1,496 in pre-pandemic ‘19. Deloitte points to a rosier picture among consumers this year, as 43% expect the economy to improve in 2025 versus 34% in ‘23 and 36% in ‘22.
