Deloitte Study Gives Bullish View of Holiday Shopping
Analysts at Deloitte seem to have found the Christmas spirit with the firm’s 2023 Holiday Retail Survey, painting a rosier picture of the selling season with average household spend up 14% to $1,652 compared to the conservative outlook in last month’s preliminary forecast. The Sep. report projected a meager 3.5% to 4.6% total spending increase to $1.54 to $1.56 trillion.
