De Minimis Limits Started by Biden Likely to Move Forward Under Trump
It appears de minimis reform will have a smooth handoff between the outgoing and incoming administrations, as Biden-era Customs and Border Protection officials posted Notices of Proposed Rulemaking in the Federal Register last week seeking to rein in tariff- and duty-exempted shipments. The proposals dovetail with priorities outlined in Trump’s economic memo issued a day prior.
