Columbia Sales Drop, but Margins are Improving


Net income slipped 13% in the third quarter to $90,157,000 from $103,508,000 on a 5% decline in revenues to $931,768,000 from $985,683,000, pulled down by weakness in North America and persistent warm weather. Wholesale channel sales dropped 9% to $605.2 million, but direct-to-consumer fared better, growing 2% to $326.6 million on brick-and-mortar strength that offset declining e-commerce sales.
