The White House unveiled a new “30-for-30” tariff carve-out plan with China, naming several industry-related categories on the favorable-treatment list from the U.S.-China Board of Trade, chartered in May alongside that month’s Beijing talks. The new plan bestows favorable tariff treatment for $30 billion of non-sensitive goods in each direction, according to a White House release. For goods imported to the U.S., this includes balls such as baseball, softball, football, soccer, and lawn-tennis balls; other noninflatable balls; and rackets.
