Allbirds Reports a Smaller Quarterly Loss on Lower Sales
Despite the Q1 results, senior management said the company is confident about BIRD’s long-term trajectory due to its marketing and product development work over the last year. Revenues fell by 18% to $32.1 million from $39.3 million for the period ended Mar. 31. The adjusted EBITDA loss was $18.6 million versus a loss of $20.9 million in the year-ago period. The operating loss improved by 20% year-over-year to a loss of $22.8 million from $29.8 million. The net loss was $21,875,000 against a loss of $27,311,000.
