5.11 Tactical Outperformed for CODI Last Year


Compass Diversified’s tactical apparel brand was the only one of its sporting goods brands to grow in 2023, posting a 10% revenue improvement to $533,089,000 from $486,213,000, and generating 9% higher adjusted EBITDA of $73,605,000 against $67,785,000. In the final quarter, revenues improved 9% year-over-year to $147.4 million, laying a good foundation for former Zumiez exec, Troy Brown, who took the reins as 5.11 CEO Jan. 1. Marucci Sports, which was sold to Fox Factory in Nov., was not included in the year-end reporting.
